Documents Required for a Loan Application

Below is a breakdown of the documents you need to submit:


1. Current Immigration Status

Permanent Resident

  • Provide your PR card or Confirmation of Permanent Residence.

Provincial Nominee

  • Submit your Provincial Nominee Acceptance letter.
  • Confirmation email from IRCC on PR application

Canadian Citizen

  • Provide your Canadian Citizenship Certificate or Canadian Passport.

Refugee

  • Provide your Notice of Decision and PR Card if applicable.

2. Learning Plan

Support your application with relevant documents.

3. Government-Issued Photo ID

  • Driver’s license
  • Provincial identification card
  • Passport
  • PR card

4. Proof of Address

Submit one of the following documents:

  • Driver’s license
  • Provincial identification card
  • Void cheque or direct deposit form with your name and address
  • Utility/phone bill
  • Bank statement
  • Lease agreement
  • Any official government document (IRCC, CRA, Service Canada) with your name and address.

5. Prior Education

Provide any of the following:

  • Credential assessment from recognized organizations (WES, ICAS, MIFI...)
  • Credential/experience assessment from regulatory bodies (NCA, MCC, PEBC, NDEB...)
  • Copy of diploma/certification.

6. Selfie ID Verification

Submit a selfie with your government-issued photo ID.
